Great show at Neumo’s tonight! We stuck to Sam’s script pretty well and that’s all it took. Sam’s latest set of tunes are really well crafted and tonight’s band really nailed them (see previous post for info on the band). Neumo’s likes to crank up the volume on the drums and bass. We asked to turn it down initially, and I’m not sure if they did, but the show sounded even better than the sound check.

Good to see the Ocean Tone crew out; and Rooneys and Chirino/Andreas and the like. We were followed by Afraid of Figs. They really are an 80’s band. Not an 80’s cover band, but a real 80’s band. If I was filming a romantic comedy that climaxed at a club or a prom, I would definitely hire this band for that scene.
