Folklife weekend and I got to play with the Harborrats on the first day. We hit the Fountain Lawn stage with our 7 piece lineup and Sam really lit up the crowd. Sam had the set nailed and had his head on real straight. Throughout the entire set the crowd kept growing and growing. I’ve played with with several acts at the festival in the past, and this was definitely the most crowd pleasing (sorry other bands). Per usual with festival gigs, the stage sound was a little shoddy, but overall Sam’s put together a really nice lineup and I think we made it work really well.

It was fairly cold and wet, and definitely not the size of crowd that will surely be there on Sunday. However, the pic below shows a glimpse of what I love about Folklife. Even with the chill and dampness there were plenty of kids soaking themselves in the fountain.
